APEBA OBJECTIVES FOR THE HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTIONS

Food Security & Livelihood Program. (FSL)

APEBA will strive to attain the following food security objectives:

  • Provide projects that meet the immediate food needs of orphans, needy children, disabled persons, youths, widows, and other vulnerable groups;
  • Provide projects that foster local economic development and strengthen local and regional food systems;
  • Provide sustainable and diverse agricultural food system while honoring local traditions;
  • Provide income generating business activities for the underprivileged populations,
  • provide women and youth with practical leadership training projects;
  • provide agricultural training and basic tools and other related materials (better seeding selection, animal husbandry, and hygiene, food processing techniques, and safe storages);
  • Provide small business training and microfinance support to qualified beneficiaries.
Basic Skills Development Programs to Eradicate poverty

APEBA will strive to attain the following basic skills development objectives:

  • Provide tailoring training for the widows, youths, underprivileged mothers, and disabled persons to fight poverty;
  • Provide brick and block making training to Youths and other young adults as a means of employment to fight poverty and unemployment
  • Provide basic computer and resource management skills training to all groups;
  • Encourage investors to invest in those regions to create more opportunities;
Water, Sanitation and Health (WASH) Program:

APEBA will strive to attain the following WASH objectives:

  • Improve access of the underprivileged populations to WASH facilities;
  • Provide clean drinking water and sanitation to combat diseases, 
  • provide quality healthcare to all underprivileged beneficiaries;
  • Create healthy living conditions to equip the beneficiary communities;
  • Fight diseases that are paralyzing underprivileged communities through health education;
  • provide nutritious food to the malnourished children in South Sudan; 
  • Create hygienic Environments for better living standards for all South Sudanese;
  • Provide emergency rescue assistance to populations in flooded areas
Basic Education and Basic Skills Development Program

APEBA will strive to attain the following community basic education and basic skills development objectives:

  • Provide early childhood education to increase children’s readiness for Grade school
  • Promote girl-child education and provide educational opportunities for all children;.
  • Provide basic literacy skills (reading, writing & arithmetic) and Life-Skills to all interested illiterate youth and adults across South Sudan;
  • Motivate and mobilize communities and concerned stakeholders to create an enlightened society through rights and equity based communication campaigns, advocacy and awareness approaches;
  • Provide vocational training and life-skills building programs for nation transformation;
  • Establish library services and community computer labs projects for all ages and levels; 
  • Provide Teachers training and suitable curriculum development technical expertise;
  • provide scholarship programs to low-income children and youth in South Sudan to attend quality educational institutions to gain high-tech skills to transform their communities;
Peace Building and Conflict Transformation Programs

APEBA will strive to attain the following community peacebuilding and conflict Mitigation objectives:

  • Provide community peacebuilding projects that cultivate trust, and social cohesion within and between communities;
  • Provide initiatives that strengthen social and cultural capacities to resolve communal disputes and national conflicts;
  • Provide initiatives that create awareness, promote inter-ethnic, and inter-group interaction and dialogue;
  • Provide some training to the youth on national harmony and peacemaking strategies;
  • Provide training to community leaders, women, youth, and elders to act as community peace ambassadors and model togetherness.

Provide projects that focus on trauma healing and reconciliation

Community Inclusive Protection

APEBA will strive to attain the following community protection objectives:

  • Provide inclusive child protection against exploitation, physical and emotional abuses, neglect, harmful practices, and violence against all children;
  • Provide inclusive protection that safeguards the dignity, rights, and well-being of all;
  • Provide protection against gender-based violence against girls and women;
  • Work with the local authorities to provide a violent and harassment-free environment to all women and girls to move freely and participate in the economic building of South Sudan;
  • Advocate for the children’s safety, basic nutrition, healthcare, and basic education,
  • Provide policies that focus and concern about the safety of vulnerable women and girls;
  • Provide policies that take the preservation of human dignity;
  • Provide policies and collaborate with other entities to ensure women are free to move without fear of violence or any kind of harassment.
